Search for New Director Begins

After 23 years as Executive Director, Kirby notified the Board this winter of her intent to retire in June. While everyone involved with HomeShare will be sad to see Kirby go, due to her many years of expertise and dedication, HomeShare Vermont is in a great position for our next leader to take the reins. Knowing the strength of the finances and the knowledge of the staff and board members, Kirby can enjoy the retirement she deserves while HSVT is poised to continue as a leader in homesharing. The board has developed a strong and thorough recruitment and hiring process to help us find just the right candidate. In the coming months we will share plans with you on how we will celebrate this important transition both for Kirby and for HomeShare.

Eos Transition Partners is conducting the search for HomeShare Vermont’s new Executive Director, and I’m hoping you can help spread the word about this opportunity to your networks. Also, if there is someone you’d like to recommend for the role, you can directly contact our Eos Transition Partners consultant, Catherine Bradshaw at [email protected] or 203-494-9370.

Margaret Cicchetti, Board President

FY22 Annual Report is available now!

When Emily bought her South Burlington condo in 2019, she decided to turn to HomeShare Vermont to help her find a housemate. Abby knew she couldn’t afford to live on her own, but she was having a hard time finding people to live with who would be a good fit. The two are compatibly introverted, go to dinner together occasionally and go on walks together. Emily loves baking and Abby is a big fan of Emily’s cookies or anything with chocolate. Learn more about this compatible match and others in our new 2022 Annual Report.
